Current interest: Genius female protagonist trying to make the best of a weird situation. Usually takes place in a medieval type world, usually involves magic in one way or another.Have you ever felt that you’re destined for mediocrity? Well, these girls aren’t. They hit the ground running by jumping into their new roles and dealing with whatever fate hits them with in stride. They keep pushing forward until they get the happily ever after they deserve. It’s dramatic, it’s romantic, it’s the most stereotypical young adult type of story there is and god damn it I eat it up every time. On days where I feel like being anywhere but stuck in bed with no motivation to do anything, cracking open one of these takes me into a world where I can forget about being myself and enjoy the highs and lows of life that the protagonist lives.
*Isekais are acceptable, though it’s so overdone that each one that I read I forget about five minutes after I’ve finished it.
